Morrissey Goodale tracked two domestic deals and one international transaction. This brings the total year-to-date deal count in the United States to 162, equal to the domestic deals tracked through the same period in 2011. Including the U.S., the total global deal count is now 285, down 7% from the 307 global deals tracked through the same period last year.

Global architectural design firm HKS (Dallas, TX) acquired HADP Architecture (Miami, FL), a 30-person education design consultancy. The acquisition will expand HKS's higher-education practice and will serve clients worldwide. Moving forward, HADP will operate under the co-branded name HKS HADP Studio. Link to details

Leading international maritime design, engineering and risk management consultancy BMT Group (Teddington, United Kingdom) acquired Oceanica Consulting (Wembley, Australia), a provider of marine, costal and estuarine environmental services. Civil and environmental firm Farr West Engineering (Reno, NV) acquired Chilton Engineering & Surveying (Elko, NV), a 9-person provider of civil, transportation, hydrology, surveying, and forensic engineering for clients in both public-and-private sectors. The acquisition will bring Farr West Engineering supplemental capabilities in surveying, transportation, water rights, mining, as well as pavement analysis, design, and rehabilitation.
