Fieldbus seminars for 2012 announced

Fieldbus Foundation offers three locations and dates in North America: Calgary, Houston, and Philadelphia.

04/19/2012

The Fieldbus Foundation has announced its schedule for training workshops around North America for the balance of 2012. The organization characterizes these as geared toward taking the mystery out of Foundation fieldbus and making end users and systems integrators realize the true lifecycle benefits of the technology. The curriculum aims at helping new users contemplating their first fieldbus project, experienced veterans trying to get the most out of an installation, or a system integrator that wants to implement fieldbus successfully. Support from sponsoring companies allows these seminars to be offered at no charge.

• Calgary, AB; TELUS Convention Centre, May 23, 2012
• Houston, TX; location TBD, September 12, 2012
• Philadelphia, PA; TBD, November 28, 2012

The seminars use a combination of live demonstrations and presentations from technology experts. Dave Lancaster has helped implement countless Foundation fieldbus projects around the world, and is one of our certified instructors at Trine University in Indianapolis, IN. Chuck Carter is our lead instructor at the Lee College fieldbus training center in Baytown, TX. John Rezabek of Ashland Chemical is chairman of our end-user advisory council and has years of experience using Foundation fieldbus on a day-to-day basis.

All attendees receive professional development hours (PDHs) for attending and a 10% discount certificate on all regularly priced training at any of our North American certified Foundation training centers or centers of excellence.

Seminars are typically 8 am to 4:30 pm and include free lunch and morning and afternoon breaks. Walk-up registrations are accepted. Finalized agendas will be posted within two weeks of the event. Hard copy registration is available by emailing or faxing the registration form to marketing@fieldbus.org (fax: 512-794-8893).
