Bosch Rexroth Corporation, IndraDrive Cs Economy Compact Servo Drive. The IndraDrive Cs Economy is a compact servo drive featuring SERCOS III Ethernet communication and multi-encoder interfaces to provide flexibility and value for low-power applications. This is a Control Engineering 2011 Engineers' Choice (EC) nominee. The IndraDrive Cs Economy low-power servo drive features an extremely compact space-saving design and open support of the SERCOS III Ethernet communication bus, providing a cost-effective drive platform.  It is ideal for many industries, and extends precision motion to small-size applications in a low-power range down to 100 Watts.

The IndraDrive Cs platform seamlessly operates with Rexroth's other larger IndraDrive components on a common digital SERCOS III bus, allowing for new and economical machine control solutions. Designed to provide flexibility and just the right amount of power at a lower cost, the drive also has a multi-encoder interface supporting Hiperface, EnDat 2.1 and 2.2, 1Vss, 5 V TTL, and Rexroth MSM and MSK servo motors. Adding functionality and overall cost savings, the compact IndraDrive Cs Economy can be equipped with Safety-On-Board features such as Safe Torque Off and Safe Brake Control for certifiable drive-based machine safety, eliminating the need for separate safety components.

The IndraDrive Cs Economy comes with digital inputs and outputs plus an analog input on board, integrated brake resistor, and an intelligent operation panel with programming module function. Available in models ranging from 50 W up to 3.5 kW, the IndraDrive Cs dimensions measure 50 x 215 x 196 (mm) for one unit, and 70 x 268 x 196 (mm) for the larger unit. Maximum current ranges from 3A up to 28A, with a high overload range. This size range makes it optimal for packaging applications.
