Shooting death at Orlando engineering firm
A former employee of RS&H, which specializes in infrastructure and transportation, kills one, wounds five.

As reported by WESH TV in Orlando, 40-year-old Jason Rodriquez, fired from RS&H two years ago, returned on Friday, Nov. 7, to kill 26-year-old Otis Beckford, who had just become the father of a child. According to WESH, Demings said Rodriguez, 40, was fired from Reynolds Smith and Hills two years ago for performance issues after being employed there for one year. Rodriquez claimed that RS&H made it difficult for him to obtain unemployment benefits, and he had been unable to find work again."They left me to rot," Rodriquez said.Otis Beckford was shot to death in the RS&H lobby. As reported by the Orlando Sentinel, Jamaican-born Beckford was an AutoCAD technician. who was well respected by everyone from colleagues to upper-level managers. "This was a great young man," said Mike Bernos, company spokesman. "We're deeply saddened at the loss."
The five who were injured are expected to recover.
