General Monitors, Lake Forest, Calif., partnered with Elpro Technologies, Stafford, Australia, to offer wireless technology and communications for General Monitors’ gas and flame detector product lines. Honeywell, Minneapolis, announced that it will begin an energy-efficiency program for the city of Sandusky, Ohio, that will help the city reduce energy and maintenance expenses while upgrading its facilities and infrastructure. The 10-year agreement is funded through a $1.5 million performance contract and is expected to save Sandusky an estimated $181,000 in annual operating expenses. Thermaflex, Abbeville, S.C., announced that its Theraflex Pro Series flexible duct products earned the GreenGuard Certification for children and schools. Grundfos Pumps Corp., Olathe, Kan., awarded a research grant to the University of Kansas Center for Reasearch. This grant will go toward collecting performance data from newely redesigned orifices used in boiler feed applications. Spinwave Systems, Westford, Mass., signed a partnership agreement with Evolve Energy Ltd. to market and sell Spinwave’s wireless sensing products as part of an integrated energy management solution in the United Kingdom and France.
