Baldor Electric Company, Fort Smith, Arkansas-based manufacturer of energy saving industrial electric motors, mechanical power transmission products, drives and generators, introduces the Dodge Steel-Housed S-2000 HD spherical roller bearing. The new bearing features an economical set screw shaft mount with a cast steel housing specifically designed for heavy-duty applications. S-2000 HD bearings are available in pillow block and flange configurations.Baldorn - Dodge Steel-Housed S-2000 HD Roller Bearing

The Steel-Housed S-2000 HD bearing is designed with a high capacity, double row spherical bearing element that provides excellent misalignment tolerance. The bearing may be ordered in either expansion or non-expansion configurations, though it is readily field convertible by changing the position of a snap ring. The sealed inserts can reportedly be quickly replaced on-site, saving valuable time and effort, compared to bearings that need to be rebuilt.

The bearing is protected by exclusive sealing systems including a patented nitrile multiple lip-seal that resists heat and chemical breakdown, as well as corrosion resistant flingers that block contamination. An optional metallic labyrinth seal is available for high speed applications. A variety of end caps are offered for additional protection from contaminants.
