Big Ass Fans BAFWorksFan controller application

BAFWorks gives users control over all of their Big Ass Fans products from a single location. BAFWorks provides access to real-time fan speed and status and has a lockout feature with password protection allowing for absolute security and control. For increased ease of operation, use the grouping option to control up to 32 groups of fans, each of which can include an unlimited number and variety of fans. BAFWorks is available for all industrial overhead Big Ass Fans, as well as Pivot and Pivot180 fans, and includes an iPad, the BAFWorks gateway module, and mounting bracket.


Spirax Sarco Steam Design Pro 6.0HVAC software

Spirax Sarco’s Steam DesignPro 6.0 software is designed to meet the demand of mechanical engineers, designers, and contractors in the HVAC market. The software was created as a visual design tool through an easy, drag-and-drop method for designing and modeling HVAC steam systems. The software allows for easy modeling of steam generation, steam distribution, steam utilization, and condensate-handling systems. The program automatically performs calculations and design tasks including: head loss and static pressure calculations, pipe and duct sizing, data recalculation, component insertion, full psychrometric calculations, and equipment type changes. Additional features include the ability to select relief valves, flowmeters for steam and hydronic applications, and control valves.


Xylem ESP-System SyzerPiping system calculator application

The ESP-System Syzer from Xylem is extremely accurate at calculating flow rates and pressure drops in piping systems. The mobile app version of this industry-standard tool allows HVAC professionals to easily download it on an iPhone or iPad with the same functionality while working in the field. The ESP-System Syzer performs several critical calculations and offers a variety of unique features, including calculating the friction loss and velocity through various pipe types and sizes based on existing fluid conditions and the relationship between fluid temperatures, system flow, and heating/cooling load.
