Farmington, Conn.-based Carrier Corp. has been awarded a $9 million contract by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas South Central Community, an international community of religious women based in Charlotte, N.C.; the work includes developing a new facility to house a state-of-the-art central energy plant in Belmont, N.C.

The Energy Solutions division of Dallas-based TAC has been contracted to implement more than $1 million in facility enhancements designed to improve operations, comfort, and efficiency at the district’s four main campuses. The company guarantees that the school ultimately will reduce its utility costs by more than $14,000 annually

Norwalk, Conn.-based Emcor Services Northeast subsidiary Emcor Group Inc. has attained a contract for the installation of mechanical systems at EMC Corp., an information infrastructure technology firm in Hopkinton, Mass. Emcor Services Northeast will handle installation of mechanical systems on a data center expansion, which calls for increasing cooling density, and placing more than 4000 ft of pipe. Additionally, Emcor’s Gowan Inc. has received a contract for installation of mechanical systems as part of an expansion effort at Houston’s Memorial Hermann Hospital Systems .

Melbourne, Fla.-based BRPH has opened a district office in Savannah, Ga. The office is the consulting firm’s second location in the state.

Milwaukee-based Graef, Anhalt, Schloemer & Associates Inc. has changed its name to GRAEF . The national consulting firm offers diverse, multidisciplinary, and integrated services for built and natural environments.

Broadview, Ill.-based Unified Group —an alliance of HVAC/R contractors nationwide—has added Williston, Vt.-based New England Air Systems Inc. to its membership.
