Pass & Seymour/Legrand, Syracuse, N.Y., named Jim Osterbrock to vice president of engineering. Osterbrock will be responsible for driving innovation through new product and technology development, as well as pro duct and packaging design and product testing.

Luxaire Heating and Air Conditioning, Norman, Okla., contributed $250,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America during the 2007 program year, which brings the company’s total contribution to more than $1.5 million.

The Conduit Division of Robroy Industries, Gilmer, Texas, promoted Starla Bickerstaff to marketing manager/director of Corrosion College. Bickerstaff began with Robroy Industries in 2005.

Johnson Controls Inc., Milwaukee, teamed with the National Foundation for Energy Education (NFEE) and the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) to host “Energy at Work,” a day-long workshop of interactive demonstrations in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math. The workshop will be held on April 9 at the Energy Conservation and Advanced Manufacturing (ECAM) building located at MATC’s Oak Creek Campus.

Daikin Industries, Carrollton, Texas, was chosen as a member of the Global 100 list of Most Sustainable Corporations for the second consecutive year. Announced in Davos, Switzerland, at the World Economic Forum, the list includes companies evaluated based on how effectively they manager environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities as compared with other companies in their industry.

VYCON, Los Angeles, announced that Vatchi Artinian will assume the role of CEO in place of Tony Aoun, who is leaving to take a position at Catnetix.

RAE Systems, San Jose, Calif., received European ATEX safety certification for use in explosive atmospheres or hazardous environments, for two third-generation photo ionization detector based instruments, the MiniRAE 3000 and ppbRAE 3000.

Honeywell, Minneapolis, reached an agreement to acquire Energy Services Group, Minneapolis. The business will integrate into Honeywell Building Solutions.
