Air purifier

By Consulting Specifying Engineer Staff -- Consulting-Specifying Engineer, 9/1/2008 1:00:00 AM

Extend the effective life of the filter media and achieve LEED-qualifying, minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) 13 with the A130 air purifier from StrionAir System. The purifier's electrically enhanced filtration technology captures up to eight times more particulates than other low pressure drop filtration technologies. The electrically charged filter achieves up to a 95% filtration efficiency at the submicron level (ASHRAE 52.2, E1). The purifier allows engineers to specify smaller overall HVAC system components due to an initial pressure drop of 0.2-in water gauge. The purifier's modular design includes an electrical power supply, ionization array, electrical field generating array, and a low airflow-resistance disposable filter media.
