News from Schneider Electric North American Operating Division, Steril-Aire and Active Power Inc.
Schneider Electric North American Operating Division , Palatine, Ill., presented Aurora Technologies, Pacific, Mo., with its Supplier of the Year award for quality, productivity and on-time delivery. Mary Frances Cox, senior vice president of operations, and Jeff Wood, vice president of supply management, presented the award during Schneider Electric’s annual Purchasing Supplier Conference in Orlando, Fla. Aurora Technologies received this award in 2006 as well. Schneider Electric has partnered with the supplier for more than 15 years.
Christopher M. Dudek has been appointed Northeast regional manager for Steril-Aire , Burbank, Calif. Dudek will cover the six New England states as well as Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.
Active Power Inc., Austin, Texas, completed a private placement of $14 million of common stock to institutional investors. The transaction involved eh sale of 10 million shares of common stock at a purchase of approximately $1.40 per share. Active Power intends to use the net proceeds from the placement to grow the business in new and expanding markets and for working capital purposes.
