The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers has given special recognition to Cooper Bussmann, St. Louis, for the company’s InVision Downtime-Reduction System as being a product and program that can make a significant impact on its members in the field.
Schneider Electric, headquartered in Rueil-Malmaison, France, has expanded its building automation offerings with the acquisition of California-base Pelco, which designs, developments and manufactures video security systems. Pelco recently won a Frost & Sullivan 2007 Company of the Year Award in the North American video surveillance market.

Victaulic, Easton, Pa., producer of mechanical pipe joining systems, announced the appointment of Dr. Hsiang-Cheng Kung as research director of engineering.
