Thermal controls for data center system optimization
Emerson Network Power's Liebert iCOM thermal controls are designed to eliminate single points of failure as well as monitor and manage the data center environment and its thermal-management systems.
Emerson Network Power’s Liebert – iCOM thermal controls monitor and manage the data center environment as well as its thermal-management systems. The Liebert iCOM-S is designed to eliminate single points of failure and protect the cooling unit. The control uses machine-to-machine (M2M) communication and algorithms that use data from rack inlet sensors, pressure sensors, and supply air temperatures optimize airflow. The pre-programmed teamwork modes are designed to optimize and harmonize the thermal-management system, preventing units from working at cross-purposes, wear, and tear. The Liebert iCOM-S provides a single point for binding room sensors to cooling-unit control groups by detecting and configuring up to 4,800 wireless rack sensors for building management system (BMS) integration.
