Taking off into the Blogosphere
In his inaugural csemag.com blog posting on April 19, CSE Editor-in-Chief Michael Ivanovich boasts, “You're going to love this blog, and you're going to come back to it at least once a week. I know this because I'm going to ensure that it's interesting, entertaining, timely and relevant. My goal here is simple: inform you, empower you and get out of the way.
In his inaugural csemag.com blog posting on April 19, CSE Editor-in-Chief Michael Ivanovich boasts, “You’re going to love this blog, and you’re going to come back to it at least once a week. I know this because I’m going to ensure that it’s interesting, entertaining, timely and relevant. My goal here is simple: inform you, empower you and get out of the way. Toward what end? To help you think out of the box—to be creative, efficient and proactive.”
He’s working hard to live up to the boast by providing a wealth of suggested websites and resources for the designers of engineered building systems. This includes links to instructional content on topics such as sustainability “for those who have a strong interest in energy, economics and the environment.”
But that’s not all: “Because we cover so much and are now going to be updating our website so often,” Ivanovich says, “check my blog often to see where else in the CSE website you should visit next…”
Readers often look to CSE for guidance on where to find additional information on topics that we cover in print and on the web. So, it’s about more than just what we cover in CSE.
Above all, keep in mind that it’s a blog—it’s not just an opportunity for one person to sound off. CSE editors are looking to establish a forum for the entire community of consulting engineers. Please feel free to use this blog—and all blogs at csemag.com—to share tips and resources with the community.
