NCEES revises calculator policy
The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying announced a revision to its calculator policy, which became effective beginning with the April 2008 exam administration. The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying announced a revision to its calculator policy, which became effective beginning with the April 2008 exam administration. The approved calculators are:
Casio: All fx-115 models. Any Casio calculator must contain fx-115 in its model name.
Hewlett Packard: The HP 33s and HP 35s models, but no others.
Texas Instruments: All TI-30X and TI-36X models. Any Texas Instruments calculator must contain either TI-30X or TI-36X in its model name.
Calculators not meeting these criteria are not permitted in the exam room. Read the approved calculator list and other exam-related information at www.ncees.org.
