Woodward’s DSLC-2 and MSLC-2 controllers are designed to simplify system control architectures for power generation systems. These controllers work in conjunction with PLCs and perform the critical generator system control functions. This is designed to reduce system design, commissioning, and troubleshooting costs. The DSLC-2 combines synchronizer, dead bus closing, real/reactive load sharing, baseload/process, and PF control; the MSLC-2 is used for utility and tie breaker synchronization, dead bus closing, baseload/import/export, and PF control. The "Release 2” firmware adds redundant load sharing and SCADA visualization over Ethernet Modbus TCP communication, increasing reliability and streamlining commissioning by allowing connection to all DSLC-2 and MSLC-2 controllers through one device.
