Since joining ETC Group in 2009 as an energy engineer, Guymon has held roles with increasing responsibility in energy analysis, recommissioning, scopes of work development and sequences of operation for HVAC equipment and controls. She has made a difference in the industry by delivering energy efficiency projects and was named director of the company’s newly formed monitoring-based commissioning group in 2019. Guymon has an exceptional ability to communicate complex subjects, a sharp attention to detail and the ability to work diplomatically with project members and customers alike. Her mentorship has created a positive impact on the company’s work culture. She believes a good leader delivers guidance and then provides the freedom to let people shine. An accomplished speaker, Guymon has been invited to present at conferences, meetings and trainings, including the 2020 AEE World Virtual Conference and NFMT Orlando. In her local community, she is involved with the Turtle Shelter Project, a group that strives to save the lives of homeless youth by providing them a foam vest that conserves heat. She is also on the advisory board for Pragmatists for Clean Air, an open-source organization sharing the lessons learned in all-electric, multifamily developments. Exploring foods from different areas is Guymon’s favorite way of traveling. Her top food destination so far is Taiwan, where she lived for 18 months (she even speaks fluent Mandarin). As a Utah resident, she also enjoys outdoor activities, including paddle boarding and winter sports. Though she is an avid snowboarder, she still manages to get along with her skiing husband and two sons.
