Consulting-Specifying Engineer has applied for business publication membership in BPA Worldwide. The magazine is published by CFE Media, LLC (Oak Brook, IL).

Established in 1958 and formerly a member of BPA Worldwide (under Reed Business Information ownership), Consulting-Specifying Engineer serves engineering and management personnel who perform mechanical and/or electrical engineering activities for commercial, industrial, and institutional building projects.

BPA Worldwide will track circulation for Consulting-Specifying Engineer based on business/distribution, demographics and geographic coverage. The magazine will have 12 months to complete its initial circulation audit.

CFE Media was established in April 2010 when it purchased Consulting-Specifying Engineer, Control Engineering and Plant Engineering magazines from Reed Business Information. The three long-standing magazine brands have been serving the engineering industry for over 60 years and are continuing their longstanding relationship with BPA under new ownership. CFE Media serves as an engaging platform to bring together the worldwide engineering community through compelling subject matter and interactive applications.

“Partnering with BPA is a big next step toward fulfilling our mission at CFE Media for both our subscribers and our advertisers: providing a platform for content, community and applications that engages engineers worldwide to share, learn and increase productivity across all engineering designs, systems, and manufacturing plants,” said Jim Langhenry, Group Publisher, CFE Media LLC.
“We are pleased that Consulting-Specifying Engineer has applied for membership in BPA Worldwide,” said BPA president and CEO Glenn Hansen. “We applaud the publisher for providing advertisers and prospects with the solid assurance of an independent circulation audit conducted according to our world-respected, uncompromising standards. With a BPA audit, media buyers can be confident that circulation claims are accurate, and that they have the verified data that they need to assess a publication’s effectiveness in serving its market.”
