Lund is innovative, passionate, and committed to sustainable design and green building practices. Working side-by-side with his staff, Lund likes to be involved in all stages of the process. He began his career as an electrician, and his understanding of building processes is vital to his engineering. With experience in medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, lighting, telecommunications, fire alarm, and standby and emergency power systems for educational, industrial, medical, and commercial facilities, he is committed to achieving his goals. He pursued and achieved the first U.S. Green Building Council LEED accredited project for RDK’s Raleigh-Durham office. A good teacher and gifted coach, Lund is demanding, supportive, and rewarding of his teams. He genuinely cares about the work he produces and oversees, and is always available to tend to his clients’ needs, no matter the time of day or night. He has personally grown RDK’s relationships with valued clients such as Duke University Medical Center. Lund also builds strong relationships within his community, supporting children and police officers through Toys for Tots and the Durham Country Fraternal Order of Police program Shop with a Cop. Lund always makes time for rest and relaxation at the end of the day with his wife and their two dogs. He loves golf, fishing, and skeet shooting, and he cheers on the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team and Panthers football.
