Pamela Androff holds the position of product manager for all commercial equipment at Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating, where she is the technical expert for the company’s entire commercial HVAC product line. Androff began her leadership development by becoming involved in an array of organizations throughout college. While attending the University of Central Florida, Androff was elected and served as president of the Honors Congress Society and the university’s chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Androff also participated in the Society of Women Engineers and was selected to serve as intern for Washington Internship for Students of Engineering in ASHRAE’s Washington, D.C., office. Throughout Androff’s final 2 years finishing her undergrad, she worked as a teacher's assistant in an introduction to engineering class. She instructed students on how to use important industry software tools such as AutoCAD and Pro-Engineer using real-world examples. One of Androff’s more notable works can be seen in the 120,000-sq-ft student activity center at a Georgia university. Androff overcame a multitude of design challenges as she developed a successful mechanical design and energy model. It included unique mechanical systems such as a geothermal well field and chilled beams. Androff serves as president of the ASHRAE Atlanta Chapter for the 2013-2014 term and is the chapter’s youngest president to date. As a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Society of Women Engineers, Androff helps middle school girls explore a career in engineering via interactive activities. This drove her to develop her own program to provide parents with information on various types of engineering, scheduled activities, and what to expect from an engineering program and curriculum. For her efforts in educational outreach to young women, her parent program received the Adult Education Award from the Society of Women Engineers.
