Trane Water-Cooled Self-Contained Model SWUD is a single-piece, water-cooled, commercial self-contained system. It uses next-generation, low-GWP R-454B refrigerants, making them compliant with regulations mandating environmentally friendly refrigerants in all new packaged units by January 1, 2025.

Balancing cost and efficiency with improved full-load efficiencies 30% higher on average than legacy models, it is ideal for low- to mid- rase office buildings and school facilities. Where facilities may have opted to install a large, packaged rooftop unit or chiller with air handler, now they can get a 20-110-ton self-contained system that fits into compact indoor spaces.
