UL-listed pad-mounted switchgear

Federal Pacific is the first manufacturer to have Pad-Mounted Switchgear to pass the industry’s toughest switch-testing requirements and be listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. using the requirements in IEEE Standard C37.74—2003 as the test specification. This standard, which is titled “IEEE Standard Requirements for Subsurface, Vault, and Pad-Mounted Load-Interrupter Switchgear and Fused Load-Interrupter Switchgear for Alternating Current Systems Up to 38 kV,” has the most rigorous electrical testing criteria for switches and fuse mountings in underground distribution equipment.
