ESD promotes two to senior VP
Environmental Systems Design has promoted James Vallort and James Sauvageau to senior VP.
ESD (Environmental Systems Design Inc.) promoted James Vallort and James Sauvageau from vice president to senior vice president.
Vallort has over 20 years of engineering and commissioning experience. He joined ESD in 2006 to lead the firm’s commissioning and building science business and has served as commissioning agent and design engineer on projects ranging from multi-million dollar campus-wide developments to individual site energy efficiency projects. Vallort received a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Bradley University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, Certified Building Commissioning Professional, Certified Energy Manager, Certified Sustainable Development Professional and Existing Building Commissioning Professional. He is active in ASHRAE and is a past president of the organization’s Illinois Chapter. He is also active in AEE (Association of Energy Engineers), ASHE (American Society for Healthcare Engineering), and USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council).
Sauvageau joined ESD in 1999 and serves as business leader of the firm’s Mission Critical Facilities Group. In this position, he manages a staff of 38 specialists dedicated to mission critical/data center design. Sauvageau studied electrical engineering technologies at Purdue University. He is accredited by the BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) as a RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer). He has over 20 years of experience managing projects requiring complex electrical engineering and communication technology systems.
