By Amara Rozgus, Chris Vavra, and Christina Miller May 16, 2022

Growing up on a farm in rural Kansas has served Harvey well in her work, exposing her to the pillars upon which she has built her professional career: dedication, hard work and perseverance. As an electrical engineer, Harvey is dedicated to the successful delivery of highly technical multidisciplinary projects. Her current role as the West Coast science, industry and technology market lead calls back to her years of experience in critical campus infrastructure, data centers and mission critical projects. Harvey has a creative approach to strategic planning, which has prepared her well for helping her clients work toward their business aims and in contributing to all stages of projects for both new and refurbished buildings. Harvey is keen to learn from others’ experiences, often asking colleagues for advice and insights. She also has plenty to share on her own, having worked internationally in London and Copenhagen. Her emphasis on teamwork stems from her days as a volleyball player, a track athlete and now a volleyball coach. Like the life lessons of growing up on a farm, she brings the skills she’s honed on the court to her work, mentoring younger engineers and helping them toward their goals. Harvey has shared her enthusiasm for electrical engineering many times through presentations, including speaking at high schools to promote careers in STEM and has written articles about data center operations. In her free time, Harvey enjoys renovating her 1940s home, donating her time to Habitat for Humanity house builds and crocheting.
