Graves has cultivated a career focusing on providing knowledge and consulting expertise as both a design engineer and general construction manager. His approach to clearly aligning goals for clients, designers and builders has proven success time and time again, resulting in a nearly 20-year client relations reputation of creative success. As an avid volunteer for many organizations, Graves knows firsthand how important it is to give back to the community — whether it be by acts of service or providing knowledge and time. Blending his passion for travel, engineering and education, Graves spent a significant amount of time in Inuit villages of Alaska renovating the village schools. The experience left a profound mark on his interest in local climate challenges and improvements for the underserved tribes of Alaska. Before becoming a project manager and senior mechanical engineer, Graves worked his way up through the ranks with prior companies. At his first firm, Graves joined as an engineer in training and worked his way up to studio director for his first leadership role. He moved on to be an MEP manager and then promoted to innovation director working to implement goals for the strategic growth and execution of the learning management system and enterprise project management system. As a family-first man, Graves and his wife welcomed their first child to the world at the beginning of the pandemic and enjoyed maximizing his time with his growing family. Graves even likes to plan “top secret adventures” to keep it interesting for his family and friends.
