Riley is moving up in her career as fast as her Formula One favorites: quickly and deftly. Riley has the traits of a talented engineer and leader and relishes a challenge. She enjoys working with people and her outgoing personality and openness to ideas has made her popular with clients and teammates alike. She’s experienced in energy assessments and retro-commissioning, particularly with public sector and institutional buildings. Riley’s knowledge and expertise has been crucial in delivering strong energy conservation measures and returns on investment. This has earned the respect of her clients as their trusted adviser and earned several awards. In one case, she was able to prove her findings for a critical project where her estimates about energy savings were thought to be too optimistic. She proved them wrong and the building ended up winning an award for delivering the highest savings of the year with a 21% overall building energy improvement. As a manager, Riley is involved indoor air quality monitoring for commercial offices and high-rise multifamily buildings. Riley also has been instrumental in supporting philanthropic missions. She’s helped identify charities and volunteer activities for her company to support and has encouraged more community involvement. Riley also promotes gender and racial diversity in engineering. She also has volunteered to be a mentor through public schools through the Illinois Green Alliance. Outside of work, Riley likes working with plants and gardens and recently completed her Illinois Master Gardener training. She enjoys walks through the woods, running and is an avid fan of competitive figure skating.
