2022 40 Under 40: Caleb Marvin, PE, 29

Since graduation, Marvin has been working as a mechanical engineer, designing and managing an array of health care projects of various sizes and complexities, including single-room modalities, complex infrastructure upgrades, large chiller and steam boiler central plants, complicated phased renovations and large greenfield hospitals. Recent projects include work as a mechanical and plumbing engineer in several hospitals and medical buildings. His true passion is solving complex engineering problems, often faster than some senior-level engineers. He also can communicate these concepts at any level, with personality and personal integrity suited to client needs. Marvin is embodied by the word “quality” because he offers quality engineering, work, attitude and integrity. He also is passionate about the quality of product he helps deliver, which made him a good fit for a startup engineering firm. Clients described him as engaged, attentive, responsive and detailed in both proposed designs and solutions. Outside of the office, Marvin tries providing a positive impact on his community. He has a passion for those who need support and is involved in the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Huntington’s Disease Society of America. He also has spent many hours mentoring and encouraging high schoolers toward careers in engineering. Originally from the Midwest, Marvin loves to travel, where he can experience the food and culture. As an outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys hunting in all seasons. In his downtime, he can be found cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas State Wildcats.
