Douglass joined TERPconsulting as a principal in 2012 and manages the Las Vegas office operations. He is well-versed in consulting and design services for complex, high-rise facilities and has extensive experience with industrial and hazardous material facilities. He also provides third-party special inspector services for smoke control/removal systems and fire-resistant joint and penetration systems. He has more than 13 years of engineering and code consulting experience. He began his career as a graduate intern at Rolf Jensen & Associates in 2006. From 2008 to 2012, Douglass worked at JBA Consulting Engineers, providing code consulting and fire protection system design services for mixed-use projects. At TERPconsulting, he and the Las Vegas team have been responsible for fire protection engineering services on influential projects including Circa Resort & Casino and the Las Vegas Raiders Headquarters. He is a registered professional fire protection engineer in seven states, along with NCEES registration for expedited reciprocity in other states. He volunteers at Three Square Food Bank, Southern Nevada’s largest food kitchen that services more than 271,000 meals each year. At Three Square, Douglass packages products that are distributed to local neighborhoods throughout the county. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are causes that are near and dear to his heart. As a vegan, he strongly believes against the cruelty of animals and makes an annual donation. In his personal life he enjoys time with his two boys, traveling the world, football, trail running and cooking. Douglass loves to cook and has taken up the challenge of preparing his favorite dishes with a vegan flair.
