The program’s main objective is to develop new information technologies in the following five areas to improve the design, commissioning and operation of buildings:
Life-cycle tools.
Lighting, envelopes and daylighting, including controls for lighting and ventilation systems.
Low-energy cooling to minimize peak and annual cooling needs in buildings.
Integrated commissioning and daignostics.
Indoor air quality.
