Weekly merger, acquisition, deal update: May 15

This week Morrissey Goodale reported seven deals in the United States involving companies from Illinois, Nevada, Ohio, Connecticut, Tennessee, Delaware, Maryland, California, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina and one international deal involving companies from the United States and Canada.

Collins Engineers (Chicago, IL) (ENR #225) acquired Civil Squared Engineering (Las Vegas, NV), a provider of site civil, drainage, and traffic and transportation engineering services. Collins Engineers provides civil, structural, and underwater design and inspection services. Link to details


Ebersole Structural Engineers (Cleveland, OH) joined GPD Group (Akron, OH) (ENR #142). GPD Group is a professional services firm that specializes in engineering, planning and architectural design for diverse range of markets. Link to details


Land-use consulting company, Redniss & Mead (Stamford, CT) acquired Ryan and Faulds (Wilton, CT), a land surveying firm. Ryan and Faulds will operate under the name Ryan and Faulds, A Redniss & Mead Company. Link to details


River Street Architecture (Chattanooga, TN) and Frank McDonald Architects (Chattanooga, TN) have joined forces. Both architecture firms have played a role in the revitalization of the downtown Chattanooga. Link to details

Global leader in specialty engineering consulting services for the built environment JENSEN HUGHES (Baltimore, MD) announced two deals in May. In the first deal, JENSEN HUGHES announced that a merger agreement has been reached with ERIN Engineering and Research (Walnut Creek, CA), a nuclear safety and reliability consulting firm. In the second deal, JENSEN HUGHES announced that a merger agreement has been reached with Sereca Consulting (Richmond, Canada), a provider of engineering and consulting services that include fire protection design and engineering, building code consulting, forensic engineering and seminars.
