Vince Rea appointed to NFPA Codes and Standards committee
TLC Engineering for Architecture's Vince Rea, a senior electrical engineer, was named to the NFPA's Codes and Standards Electrical Section.
Vince Rea, a principal and senior electrical engineer in the Healthcare Division of TLC Engineering for Architecture, has been appointed to the National Fire Protection Assn. (NFPA) Codes and Standards Committee Electrical Section.
The committee’s Electrical Section is responsible for monitoring NFPA documents 37, 70, 70B, 70E, 72, 75, 77, 110, 111, 115 & 780. As a member, Vince will review the Reports on Proposals (ROP’s) and the Reports on Comments (ROC’s) and advise the entire committee about any issues that would positively or negatively impact healthcare physical environment.
Vince is a registered professional engineer and a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional with a credential in building design and construction. With more than 25 years of experience in hospital electrical design, construction and project management, he understands how code changes could affect healthcare electrical design, day-to-day hospital functions, sustainable hospital design and other issues that could impact patient safety and well being.
