Flack + Kurtz acquires SEi Companies

Together, the firms employ more than 600. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Flack + Kurtz, New York, acquired SEi Companies, Boston. Together, the firms employ more than 600 MEP engineers.

SEi Companies is known for its engineering expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, sustainable design, and communication technologies, according to Flack + Kurtz.

Currently, SEi Companies is working on projects that include Fenway Park, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and Yale University.

Flack + Kurtz is part of London-based WSP Group. WSP also owns WSP Cantor Seinuk and operates WSP Environmental Strategies.

“By joining Flack + Kurtz and the WSP Group, we gain a global presence and access to the most prestigious architects, owners, and developers in the world,” said Robert Gracilieri, president and CEO of SEi Companies, in a statement.
