Emcor lands mechanical systems contract for hospital
The Norwalk, Ct., firm will install mechanical systems at a new Atchison, Kan., hospital.
The Central Mechanical Construction subsidiary of Norwalk, Ct.-based Emcor Group Inc .—a mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure, and facilities services firm—has been awarded the contract for the installation of mechanical systems at the new Critical Access Hospital in Atchison, Kan.
The subsidiary will handle installation of the HVAC, sheet-metal, piping, and plumbing systems for the new 90,000-sq-ft facility, which will house 25 patient rooms, three state-of-the-art surgery suites, three intensive care/trauma suites, and approximately 30,000 sq ft of private practice and clinical use. The work comprises approximately 400 tons of cooling, 9,000 MBh of heating, 110,000 pounds of steel ductwork materials, and approximately 10 miles of piping material.
