TLC announces new directors

TLC Engineering for Architecture has named Mark Gelfo the Director of Business Development and Sustainability; Rafi Wartan as the Director for the Jacksonville office; and Cheryl Maze as Corporate Marketing and Branding Manager.

A firm principal and electrical engineer, Gelfo previously directed TLC’s Jacksonville office for 10 years.

He is on the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) Board of Directors, serves as President of the North Florida Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, and has led the engineering and commissioning on many notable projects during his 19-year career at TLC. Gelfo will work closely with TLC’s senior sustainability leaders, along with the firm’s marketing team, to develop business opportunities for all 11 TLC offices across the South.

Rafi Wartan, PE, LEED AP BD+C, takes the helm of TLC’s Jacksonville office.  A firm principal and senior electrical engineer who has been at TLC for 10 years, he will continue to work closely with clients, while committing the office’s resources to exceptional client service and engineering. Wartan has a bachelor of science in physics from Jacksonville University and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. A long-time Jacksonville resident, Rafi has deep ties in the community.

Courtesy: TLC EngineeringCheryl Maze, LEED AP BD+C, who has been with TLC for three years, will support Mark as Corporate Marketing & Branding Manager. A TLC Associate, Maze is active in the Society of Marketing Professional Services and the Society of American Military Engineers. She has more than 15 years of experience in architecture and engineering marketing and lives in Orlando.
