Pipe installation system

Simplify pipe installation with Smart Connect, designed to secure pipe connections in less than 7 secs.

12/19/2011

The MegaPress system by Viega is designed for installing schedule 5 to schedule 40 black steel pipe, and the MegaPressG system for installing schedule 40 black steel pipe in sizes from 1/2 to 2 in., which can secure pipe connections in less than 7 secs. The systems make watertight and airtight connections. Both systems use modern cold press connections for pipe installation. Over 200 fittings are available for both systems, ranging in sizes from 1/2 to 2 in., including elbows, couplings, reducers, tees, reducing tees, threaded adapters, and unions. The Viega MegaPress and MegaPressG systems use the same pressing tools already used by many contractors and maintenance staff. The more compact pressing tools eliminate the need for larger equipment including welding tanks and threading machines. The Smart Connect feature provides a quick and easy way for installers to identify connections that need pressing so that they are not missed.
