PEX transition for tubing

The PP-R to PEX transitions by Aquatherm are heat fused and used to seamlessly connect and reduce the risk of leakage.

Aquatherm’s polypropylene-random (PP-R) to PEX transitions come in ½-, ¾-, and 1-in. sizes and are made from PP-R and brass. The fittings are heat fused to Aquatherm pipe on one side of the connection and crimped to PEX pipe on the other side. The transitions were designed similarly to fittings Aquatherm has used in Europe with its raised temperature polyethylene (PE-RT) line for years, while the brass portion of the transition has been reengineered to meet ASTM F1807 and connect seamlessly to standard Imperial PEX sizes. PP-R to PEX transitions currently are available as socket outlets and will make it easier than ever to design and install Aquatherm systems that integrate PEX tubing, such as radiant heating applications. They are also designed to reduce cost and the risk of leakage by eliminating a threaded connection in the transition to PEX.
