Several promotions were made at Peter Basso Assocs ., Troy, Mich . Terrence G. Cleis , PE , Eric C. Deska , and George A. Hopkins all have been promoted from senior associates to vice presidents. Other promotions included: Derek A. Cowe, PE , named senior associate; Nicholas Friedrich , Bryan Laginess, PE , Michael Maes , and Brenda Pesmark, PE, all have been promoted to associates; and Scott Collins , John Glaeser , and William Edgerton, CPD , were promoted to project leaders. Stanley Consultants , Chicago, announced that Robert S. Lewis joined the firm as project principal. Lewis has more than 29 years of engineering experience with a background in all phases of transportation and muncipal engineering. Emcor Group , Norwalk, Conn., promoted R. Kevin Matz to executive vice president, Shared Services. Matz perviously served the firm as senior vice president of the same division.
