How to contribute to CFE Media
Content for engineers—that’s what CFE Media stands for, and what CFE Media is all about — engineers sharing with their peers. We welcome content submissions for all interested parties in engineering. We will use those materials online, on our website, in print, and in e-newsletters to keep engineers informed about new products, solutions, and industry trends.
CFE Media publishes the Consulting-Specifying Engineer, Control Engineering, Plant Engineering, and Oil & Gas Engineering magazines, along with Applied Automation, Pure Power, and IIoT for Engineers supplements.
We review and accept full-length features, case studies, videos, best practices articles, how-to tips, and multimedia content from quality sources. If you are interested in contributing, use our Topic Selection Form to view a detailed list of our content coverage areas. After the form is complete, a CFE Media content manager will contact you. Each contributor must adhere to our Author’s Agreement, and here is a link to our full contributor guidelines.
For articles, case studies, application stories, and tutorials, if you choose to name specific vendors and products, please do so in the captions and/or in a separate product sidebar story. Any technology references in the body of the article should be generic: an HVAC system achieved 25% better energy efficiency over ASHRAE 90.1-2017, based on 18 months of performance data collected by the building owner.
To submit a project profile/case study to Consulting-Specifying Engineer, submit here. You must have a minimum of 12 months of performance data for it to be considered.
To submit a new product or system, register your company and upload products free to the New Products for Engineers database. This can be done in two steps:
- Register your name, company, user ID, and password.
- Log in after initial registration to submit products.
We review relevant press releases covering nationwide and international news, research or data, association/organization news, and newsworthy events. Each press release must include the company’s contact information and a high-resolution image and/or graphic. To submit, contact the following:
