The 49th annual ASIS security industry tradeshow, which took place in September in New Orleans, attracted a record 812 exhibitors, up from 725 at last year’s show. Overall attendance at the event was 17,264.
After 60 days of Phase I testing, engineers at the Naval Air Weapons Station at China Lake, Calif., and at Proton Energy Systems, Wallingford, Conn., are closer to their goal of creating a long-term, low-maintenance, grid-independent and renewably-fueled power system.
The National Fire Protection Assn., last month, opened a new office in Sacramento, Calif. NFPA staff at the new office will help make state-specific amendments to NFPA’s model building and fire codes, as well as provide technical and clerical support throughout California’s code amendment process.
