Houston-based Athens Group has announced two new members of its business development team. Tom Benwell is the new vice president of sales and business development and Judith Anderson is a senior client executive. Benwell is the former CEO of Argus Advisory Group, while Anderson was recently a director of sales programs and business development at Hewlett Packard.

Broughton, England-based Optima has announced Jackie Rutter as marketing manager. Rutter brings more than 10 years international experience in marketing advanced software products, consulting services, and turnkey engineering projects.

Mankato, Minn.-based MTU Onsite Energy has announced Todd Riemann as COO. Riemann will be responsible for production, purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, and order management, and will oversee 275 employees.

Aurora, Colo.-based Merrick & Co. has announced the hiring of two engineers, Brian Philippi , PE , and Christina Wisleder , PE . The two will be a part of Merrick & Co.’s engineering, architecture, design-build, surveying, and geospatial solutions team.

La Crosse, Wis.-based Michaels Engineering has announced the hiring of Andrew Szczepaniak and Donald Page to its Energy Efficiency Division team. Szczepaniak’s most recent work experience includes internships with Johnson Controls and Weasler Engineering. Page has 25 years of experience, working for companies such as McDonnell Douglas, AlliedSignal, and Novar.
