M/E Insider: Former NFPA Head Joins RJA; A Heavyweight Award For Stanley Consultants

• The RJA Group, Inc., parent company of Rolf Jensen & Associates and Sako & Associates, last month selected George Miller , former National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) President and CEO, to be the company’s Chairman of the Board.

• Boxing champion George Foreman presented AARP’s top award to Stanley Consultants , Muscatine, Iowa, President and CEO Gregs Thomopulos recently at AARP’s awards reception and dinner at Chicago’s Drake Hotel, where Stanley Consultants was honored as the country’s Best Employer for Workers Over 50.

• Jerrold M. Dinkels, P.E. , has joined STV, Inc. , New York, as vice president and eastern region manager of projects for STV’s Buildings and Facilities Division. In this role, he will be a key member of the firm’s senior management team and will have overall responsibility for project/program management and delivery of all phases of architectural/engineering services in the region.

• MKK Consulting Engineers, Inc. , Denver, announced the rollout of its new corporate identity reflecting an energy and corporate focus that build on the strengths of its 45-year heritage.The new logo will be launched officially in January.

• Peter Basso Assocs. , Troy, Mich., has hired Daniel Harper as a mechanical engineer in its K-12 Market Sector Group, where he will be responsible for the technical production of a project’s mechanical design. The K-12 group also gained Chuck McKale , P.E., as an associate. McKale will participate in the production of mechanical systems design for a project, and be responsible for managing the work of other engineers, designers, and CAD production personnel assigned to the team.
