Honeywell picks up energy efficiency honors
The company's Cool Control Plus program has received California's Flex Your Power Award for energy efficiency.
California’s Flex Your Power Award program –designed to recognize energy efficiency—has recognized Honeywell for its Cool Control Plus program, which gives hotel and motel owners help in reducing their HVAC power consumption.
Launched in 2006 and funded by People’s Gas and Energy, Cool Control Plus has helped hundreds of small hotels and motel owners across the state. To date, the program has cut energy use by more than 25 million kWh. Over the lifecycle of the measures installed, the company expects to achieve energy savings of more than 375 million kWh.
