BCA names Fischer executive director
The Building Commissioning Assn. has named Liz Fischer as its executive director.
The Building Commissioning Assn. (BCA) has named Liz Fischer as Executive Director effective April 2, 2012. Fischer has acted as association manager since 2005.
"I am personally very excited to have Liz Fisher joining the BCA as our full time Executive Director," said Mark Miller, president of the International Board of Directors. "Her leadership skills, knowledge of the commissioning and energy industry and relationships with key stakeholders will be invaluable in helping the BCA continue to grow, advance the commissioning industry and make buildings reach their performance potential."
Fischer has spent the past 23 years in the energy efficiency industry, as one of PECI’s strategic and business development leaders. Her experience has included managing program budgets, personnel, partner relationships, and reporting for federal and utility clients. Her knowledge spans beyond the built environment and includes in-depth experience in training and education. She has led the production of the industry’s longest running commissioning conference, the National Conference on Building Commissioning, as well as the creation of a comprehensive training program for commissioning authorities and energy auditors.
