George Houk was hired as Director of Building Envelope Commissioning Services by Sebesta Blomberg. He will be responsible for developing the company's capabilities to improve commissioning. In this new role, he will lead the company’s development of capabilities to provide building envelope commissioning. Houk will collaborate with the company’s internal technical team to better position the company to take advantage of this rapidly growing area in the industry. He will reside in the company’s Washington, DC office, supporting the company’s building envelope commissioning services nationwide.

Houk is an accomplished architectural professional with over 30 years of experience in architectural design services, forensic investigations of building failures, construction inspection services, and construction management. 

He specializes in providing consulting services to architects on building envelope design. Houk’s project experience encompasses a variety of use groups, including residential developments, commercial/office building, education, and government institutions, medical facilities and mixed-use developments. Most recently, Houk was Director of Pre-Construction for Hess Construction + Engineering Services.
