New Products for Power Quality and Reliability

Replacement circuit breakers interrupt and clear large fault currents quickly, providing protection from arc flash incident energy that is comparable or better than fuse-protected circuit breakers. The breakers are available in either Low Arc Flash NW or NT, or for retrofit into existing equipment, for most manufacturers’ 600-volt ANSI switchgear. Self-testing ground fault receptacles continually test themselves every 60 seconds to verify that they are fully operational, while still providing proper ground fault protection. In addition, units quickly notify the user if ground fault protection has been compromised or if a ground fault condition exists. Available in commercial grade, hospital grade and blank face, standard features include a 10,000-amp short circuit rating and full compliance with UL943 changes scheduled to take effect July 1, 2006.For more about Circuitpro from Bryant, click here .

Line isolation monitor (LIM) is said to provide safe, reliable monitoring of isolated power systems in all areas of hospitals.Glover LifeLink, click here .

Harmonic estimating software is available at no cost as a downloadable file from the company’s website. The software enables users to estimate and calculate the voltage and current harmonic distortion produced by VFDs on almost any electrical system at the point of common coupling and/or at the drive input terminals.
