Integrative design process education

The June 14, 2012, class is designed to teach architects and engineers how the integrative design process, which isn't often used, can be advantageous in designing buildings.

ComEd and Nicor Gas, together with The Energy Center University, are sponsoring an all-day class on integrative design process for buildings and how it can benefit engineers and architects and designers. The class is scheduled for June 14, 2012, and will be held in Chicago (exact location TBD). The instructors for the class are Sachin Anand, P.E., LEED AP and Helen Kessler, FAIA, LEED AP. 

The course will explain the integrative design process using specific examples and will use workshops and simulations to engage the class in a more direct way. Check-in begins at 8 A.M. on June 14 and a continental breakfast will be provided. The seminar begins at 8:30 and will run until 4:30 P.M. with periodic breaks and a lunch included.

Continuing education credits will be provided for:

Energy Center University is an Authorized Provider for the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). 0.7 Continuing Education Units will be given for attending this training.

Members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) will receive 7 HSW/SD/LU (Learning Units) for attending. The Illinois Society of Professional Engineers (ISPE) has approved this course for 8.0 Professional Development Hours (PDH). The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) has recognized this course for 7 credit hours as part of the GBCI Credentialing Maintenance program.
