In exploring new industrialBosch GPA motor markets for Bosch fractional horsepower dc electric motors, the Bosch i-Business Group announced that the Bosch GPA motor features the power and design attributes that are essential for powering the positioning arms of mobile and stationary stacking machines.

Kenn Langosch, Sales Manager for Industrial Motors for Bosch, said the motor is robust, with high reliability and long service life “sought after by developers of stacking machines that are to be used in high-volume manufacturing facilities and distribution centers.”

The Bosch GPA motor features:

  • Nominal Voltage: 24 V
  • Nominal power: 750 watts
  • Nominal Current: 40.0 A
  • Nominal speed 3300 min^-1
  • Nominal torque: 2.2 Nm
  • Breakaway torque: 11 Nm
  • Direction of rotation: L/R
  • Weight: approximately 3.80 kg

The Bosch GPA motor is one of several 12 V – 24 V motors without transmissions that are featured in the Bosch GPA family of dc electric motors.

Bosch GPA motors can be installed horizontally or vertically. They are available with a choice of different shaft configurations which, Langosch says, offers product design engineers greater flexibility in addressing their motor installation preferences. Langosch adds that the Bosch i-Business team also offers consultation and engineering support, which developers of stacking machines and other industrial products and systems may find helpful when developing prototype and next-generation equipment.
