Abstract: Commissioning has been around since the 1960’s. Increasing numbers of international building owners are recognizing the benefits of green building, and with it, the value of commissioning; with or without an optional external certification process. Last year, Elm Engineering completed the commissioning of the US$235 Million Grand Hyatt West Tower at Incheon Airport in Korea. In April of 2015, the hotel received LEED Gold Certification from the USGBC. Here is how we approached this large international commissioning project.
