TLC names new CEO

Michael P. Sheerin, the firm's current director of health care engineering, has been named to succeed Debra Lupton as CEO.

Sheerin, PE, LEED AP BD+C, has been named to succeed Debra Lupton, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, as CEO of the firm. Sheerin, currently serving as the firm's director of health care engineering, was selected by the board following an extensive search of internal and external candidates. Sheerin will assume the role in early 2015 with an orderly transition until Lupton's retirement on May 1, 2015.

Sheerin graduated from the City College of New York with a bachelor of engineering and had design and contracting experience in New York City and Washington, D.C., before joining TLC in 1995. 

In addition to overseeing TLC's health care practice firm-wide and his involvement on national health care standards such as ASHRAE Standard 170: Ventilation of Health Care Facilities, Sheerin has held key roles in the design of many award-winning projects.

Robert Danner, with 30 years of experience in managing health care projects, will assume management of TLC's health care operations group as Sheerin transitions into the CEO role.
