According to a New York Times article , renowned architect Frank Gehry has developed Digital Project, a software tool that can help architects, engineers, designers, and other parties keep project costs in check.

Gehry Technologies’ Digital Project modeling software can help architects “test out” various materials and designs before actual construction, saving on budgets and avoiding costly errors in construction. Gehry developed the software to produce a sculpture of a fish for a 1992 Barcelona exposition, refining it to specify the titanium panels cloaking his celebrated Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. He based the software it on 3-D software used by aerospace companies.
